Lemongrass is a medicinal herb plant native to Southern India and Sri Lanka, Lemongrass is regarded in herbal medicine as a diuretic, mild sedative, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, stomachic, anti-parisitcal and anti-microbial. To make the perfect cuppa the dried leaves are steeped in a cup of boiling water for 5 minutes or longer if you desire a stronger brew, then add honey or sugar to taste.
It has a delicate Meyer lemon taste with a slight hint of sweet ginger, and very aromatic floral fragrance with a clean finish. Lemongrass tea is delicious hot or as an iced tea.
